Whereas by an Ordinance (No.29 of 1889) dated the 27th day of November 1889, enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong by and with the advice and Consent of the Legislative Council thereof, to amend the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Ordinance, it is provided that, with the Commissioners' Consent for the time being for executing the office of Lord High Treasurer, (such Consent being signified in writing under the hands of the said Commissioners or any two of them), the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation may establish Branch Banks of Circulation for Exchange, Deposit and Discount, and Withdrawal, at any place out of the Colony in Conformity...
